Prey for the Devil : Plot , Twist , Suspense, Action everything you need to know .

It’s been two weeks since Sister Jude left her small Irish village for a new life in the big, wide world. She had felt called to serve the parish of St. Elmo, New York but it was hard adjusting to everything: the heat, the noise and especially the strange people and creatures which seemed to haunt every corner of this sprawling metropolis.

What is the plot of the story ?

There are two demons in the story: one is called the Demon of Fear, who can make people afraid; and the other is called The Demon of Lost Souls. The Demon of Lost Souls can take a person’s soul, and when this happens you’ll remember nothing about what occurred. It will also make you feel sad, lonely, confused and lost. If he takes your soul too much, it will drain all the color out of your face like a black-and-white photo being developed. It won’t be scary to look at because your eyes will have white pupils that have been replaced with black ones.

Who is in the cast ? What role did each character portray ?

The cast include Virginia Madsen , Colin Salmon , Michael Madsen , Andrew Divoff and my favorite character , Bridgett Fonda . Each character has a different personality and requires a different performance. Virginia is Sister Jude, Colin is Father Fletcher, Michael is Jonathon Vaughn and Andrew is the Demon of Fear. Bridgett portrays the role of Maeve O’Flanagan, who’s a frizzy haired taxi driver with an Irish accent. The surroundings are the most important part of the movie because they determine the mood of each scene. For example – there are church surroundings which set the tone for when Sister Jude goes to church to pray; at night time it’s dark and you can’t see anything.

What are the difficulties they face ?

The demons are the most difficult thing to handle because they cause violence, destruction and heartache. They don’t have any respect for human life or possessions. They don’t care who they hurt as long as they can hurt someone. The main challenge was that the movie is a psychological thriller, so every scene has to push all of the characters to their limits. It’s a horror-comedy which works well with each character because it shows how their eyes would actually change. You can play different characters or change the tone of a scene by bringing in more or less demons and when you do that, people start to feel uncomfortable.

Who is the antagonist ? What are its motives ?

The antagonist is the Demon of Lost Souls, because he has no motives other than to be cruel, crueler, cruelest. He has no interest in being nice or interesting. The only way to describe his personality is simply that he’s a bad person. He’s a huge problem because he’s just cruel. If you have the idea that demons exist, but the idea that demons are bad is not a concept in your mind at all – then you’re in for a rude awakening. The antagonist doesn’t care about anything but his own gain. He doesn’t even know who he is and he’s doing things for his own benefit, not for God or for anyone else.

What are the epic scenes ?

The most difficult was probably when Bridgett Fonda plays the role of Maeve O’Flanagan, who’s a frizzy haired taxi driver with an Irish accent. It might sound strange, but she really plays the role well because if you look at that part like you’re seeing it from a different perspective and then suddenly she turns into this other character – it might make people a little uncomfortable because she’s portraying two completely different characters just by changing how she looks. It’s not easy to do that because there is no length to play against – you’re either playing for an hour or going for an infinitesimal amount of time and then ending the scene right there.

Who is the most loved character ?

The most loved character is the Demon of Lost Souls because he’s absolutely cruel. He makes people feel guilty. He does things to make them feel horrible, but it doesn’t make sense because he doesn’t know why he’s doing it. He just wants to be bad and sadistic. He just wants to be evil and no one can stop him once his mind has been corrupted. For this reason, I loved playing the role of the Demon of Lost Souls because it was a lot of fun being so evil and mean with nobody able to stop me or even see that I was doing anything wrong at all.

Would you recommend watching this ?

Yes, because it’s a very interesting story, done by a great director, an excellent writer and a terrific cast. It kept me interested for the whole two hours because sometimes horror movies can be boring but this one wasn’t. Thanks for reading !
