The story revolved around Krypto, the pet dog of Superman, who finds himself at the head of a group of animal superheroes when most members of the Justice League are kidnapped. The name is a pun on the Legion (not League) in which Superman is often featured. At the time of this episode, the animated series based on DC Comics was at its peak of popularity. As a result, characters who had been members of the supporting cast gained a noticeable increase in their popularity, leading to spin-off comic titles and merchandising opportunities.

What is the plot of the story?

When the Justice League is called to deal with a meteor shower landing in the middle of various cities across the world, Superman was forced to call off the mission and rush home when he discovered that Krypto (who had been left alone at home) was missing. When Superman returned, he found a group of animals plotting an attack on him; Lobo, Road Roach, and a group of unknown animals. Lobo begins attacking them but after his defeat by Krypto, he tells them that The Destructor is about to launch a missile that will destroy all life on Earth.

Who is in the cast? What role did each character portray?

The cast includes Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Seann William Scott, Tyrese Gibson, Jay Pharoah, Rick Gonzalez, Rob Riggle, and Kristen Bell. Gibson’s character was a dog trainer who gave the animals their powers. Pharoah’s character was an animal rights activist whose mission is to capture Krypto and destroy the animal superheroes. Riggle’s character was an arms dealer whose girlfriend is an animal rights activist who helps him sell his weapons to foreign countries. He uses Road Roach as his henchman but later joins Darkseid in his war against Superman and the Justice League. He also helps Superman defeat Luthor when he escapes from prison, by taking a gun with him to jail and shooting him in jail.

What are the difficulties they face?

After the animals capture Krypto and get their powers, they must find a way to use them in a meaningful way. They fail at first because they cannot control their power, but when Road Roach’s girlfriend tells him that she loves him, he can control his powers and launches her into space using his rockets. When The Destructor launches his missile, they manage to stop it by destroying The Destructor with the bomb inside the missile.

Who is the antagonist? What are its motives?

The main antagonist is The Destructor. His motive is to launch a deadly missile that would destroy life on Earth. When he was defeated by the animal superheroes, he used his last breath to detonate the bomb on board the missile, killing himself with it. The themes include animal rights and the importance of family. Thanks to Krypto, the animals can get their revenge on humans for years of abuse at their hands, but they choose to let the humans live after learning their lesson. The other theme is that no matter what happens, the family will always be there for you and will protect you even when you are unable to help yourself.

What are the epic scenes?

The main epic scene is when the animals find out that Superman has taken Krypto for a walk. When they go to the park, they find Krypto on a park bench watching them as they have their meeting. The first animals that notice him are Lobo and Road Roach.

They suddenly see Superman in disguise, who stops them from attacking Krypto by telling them that he is not doing anything wrong. He scolds Lobo for taking over his dog training class and tells him to behave while Krypto watches.
