We’re really excited about Iman’s new role in what looks like an incredible show from Marvel Studios and Netflix. The plot revolves around Kamala Khan, who learns she’s a superhero, has shape-shifting abilities, and is the latest in a long line of Imelda Marcos who passes her powers from generation to generation.
The Iman Show will have Iman as Ms. Marvel with all of your favorite superhero guests, including Iron Man himself, Robert Downey Jr.

This Iman show will be the first Marvel superhero series to address Muslim-American identity. Iman, an Iranian American actress and activist with a personal connection to Islamophobia in her home country, is set to tackle these topics head-on. The Iman Show could also bridge gaps between cultural groups through a protagonist who bridges cultures herself as well as providing insight into one of our own heroes’ perspectives.
Ms. Marvel is about Kamala Khan (Kam), the daughter of Pakistani immigrants living in Jersey City and dealing with teenage angst like any other teenager would do while she’s trying to discover what kind of hero she wants to be: Avengers or Inhuman?
