The Frasier reboot is one of the most highly anticipated reboots in recent years. Frasier originally aired from 1993 to 2004 and starred Kelsey Grammer as Dr. Frasier Crane, David Hyde Pierce as his brother Niles Crane, John Mahoney as their father Martin Crane, Jane Leeves as Daphne Moon, and Peri Gilpin as Roz Doyle. The series was set in Seattle and followed Frasier’s life at KACL radio station through a day-by-day account of his life with an emphasis on Frasier’s relationships with the other characters.

No new episodes were produced after 2004, but that doesn’t mean we don’t miss this sitcom! Luckily for us, Frasier is set to return in 2022. NBC ordered the series before they even had a script written, so we are not sure what their approach will be yet, but one thing is for certain: Frasier fans all over won’t want to miss this!

What is Frasier about?

Frasier is a sitcom that was produced by Frasier Productions in association with Grammer’s own Grammnet Company. It aired on NBC for 11 seasons from 1993 to 2004, before moving Paramount Network until its cancellation and conclusion in the following year.

Frasier is a spin-off of Cheers; Frasier Crane starts as the protagonist. The series follows Frasier Crane; as he returns to his hometown of Seattle, Washington. After years away working at Boston’s KACL radio station. At the same time, reconnecting with his father Martin; (John Mahoney), who had recently retired from being a police officer. Frasier hosts an advice show; on the local talk radio station KDKA. Alongside having regular visits from Roz Doyle (Peri Gilpin), Frasier’s producer and love interest; their manager Daphne Moon (Jane Leeves), who Frasier becomes attracted to; and Frasier’s younger brother Niles (David Hyde Pierce), a fellow psychiatrist.

Fraiser Reboot Star-Cast Speculations

Frasier Reboot’s cast is rumored to be Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer), Martin Crane, Roz Doyle, and Daphne Moon. Frasier is the middle child in Frasier’s reboot who reconnects with his father after years of being away from him while living in Boston at KACL radio station when he decides to return home for work.

Daphne Moon – In the previous series, she is portrayed as an English physiotherapist and Frasier’s love interest. In Frasier Reboot, she is a Seattle-based philanthropist and Frasier’s occasional date who becomes attracted to him in Frasier Reboot.

Roz Doyle – This character was originally portrayed by Peri Gilpin as Frasiers’ producer at KACL radio station before moving up the ranks of management to become his boss when he became the host of The Dr. Frasier Crane Show, which airs on NPR affiliate KPJK FM Radio Station WKKC 94.0 Chicago. Roz will be played by actress Jane Leeves who last appeared in BBC One comedy show Goodnight Sweetheart where her role paralleled that of Roz Doyle from the previous series albeit with less acrimony. Frasier’s producer, Roz Doyle, is Frasier’s boss at the radio station KACL, and occasionally Frasiers love interest.

Daphne – This character was originally portrayed by Jane Leeves as a young woman. Who Frasier took in after her father died. When she was a teenager until he disappeared; for several weeks with no explanation. Before reappearing to tell Daphne that his disappearance had nothing to do with her. But instead because of Frasier’s divorce from Lilith Morgan Crane, which deeply affected him. In this reboot version, Daphne’s age has been changed to 23, making her two years younger than Frasier.
