It’s no secret James Wan is an incredibly talented director. After directing the first Aquaman movie, James has confirmed he will not be back to direct the sequel! After James Wan’s departure, it was announced that director Rob Cohen had taken over for James’ spot-on directing duties. About the Film “Aquaman 2”

Aquaman is a 2018 American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. James Wan directed and co-wrote, with David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, an origin story about Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa), who learns that he has inherited superhuman abilities from his Atlantean father to rule the seas as its king.

Aquaman had a production budget of $160 million and it made over $500 million at the box office. James Wan announced that he would be returning to direct Aquaman’s sequel in June 2018, which was confirmed by his agent on July 23rd.

Mera was originally an Atlantean princess who can control water itself. She married King Arthur after she fell in love with him when he rescued her from being sacrificed by witch doctor Vulko and his army of pirates at sea.

In the upcoming movie “Aquaman,” this royal couple navigates through Atlantis together while finding themselves amidst political turmoil among their people due to Orm wanting to wage war on Earthlings (which are actually humans).
