Who is “Teyonah Parris”?

Teyonah Parris is an American actress, singer-songwriter, and playwright. She began her career as a child actor in the early 1990s by appearing on Broadway playing Young Nala to Leslie Uggams’ Adult Simba in The Lion King. After graduating from Juilliard School’s drama program, she was cast for the role of Paula Davenport (a supporting character) in ABC’s hit show “Pushing Daisies” opposite Lee Pace and Anna Friel. In 2012, Parris appeared on television as Tasha Macklin on Showtime’s “Shameless,” which aired until 2013 when it ended after seven seasons with its 100th episode.

Marvel’s Captain Marvel is coming out in 2022, and we have the scoop on what to expect from it!

Marvel’s Captain Marvel 2 will be released in 2022. The film stars Academy Award winner Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, aka Captian Marvel, with Samuel L Jackson reprising his role as Nick Fury following the events of Avengers: Infinity War. This movie will also star Ben Mendelsohn, who plays Talos, Jude Law as Mar-Vell, Gemma Chan portrays Minn-Erva, and Djimon Hounsou appears as Korath. It was originally set for release in November, but it was postponed to March 2020.

The first Captain Marvel movie is set in the 1990s and features a twist from Brie Larson’s character being human for much of the film. It also showcases her journey of understanding earth traditions such as kissing or touching someone on the face – all things that she has never experienced before due to coming from an alien civilization where these are not customs practiced at all. “There’s a lot more flexibility with Carol,” says Parris when asked if there will be any action scenes this time around: “She got those powers.”

What can we expect from Captain marvel 2?

Marvel’s Captain Marvel sequel does have some new characters coming to light through – Monica Rambeau, who also has an alias as Spectrum, and Talos, aka Ronan, the Accuser from Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. II (played by Lee Pace). “I don’t want to give too much away, but I’m really excited about her because she will be [in] a position where people might underestimate her,” says Parris when asked what it was like playing this character for the first time: “She is so strong.”

“It’s very satisfying being able to explore these different parts of myself that aren’t necessarily fully realized in this world,” Parris tells us.

“Monica is a part of me that I want to see more- she’s bold and strong and smart.”

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige echoed her thoughts when he said, “She’s fun! She’s really funny!”
