Upload Season 2: Everything you need to know – Castings, Plotline, and Premiere Date. Upload is returning for its second season on November 8th! In this blog post, we’ll be discussing the castings, plotline, and premiere date of Upload’s upcoming season. The series will start with eight episodes with a half-hour running time each.

Release Date for the second season for “Upload”:

Amazon Studios confirmed that Upload had been renewed for a second series back in May 2021 and that the next season will also air on Amazon Prime Video. The distributer paused work on all of its film and TV productions in March 2021 due to the pandemic, so there have been inevitable delays to Upload’s second instalment.

But thankfully, Robbie Amell confirmed that filming was back underway on 25th January 2021. In a selfie with the cast and crew posted to Instagram, Robbie said: “Upload Season 2. Day 1.”

The Plotline for Upload Season 2:

Upload Season Two is set to be even darker with an intense focus on the relationship between Evan and Sarah. As they struggle to find a cure for their son’s condition, all means are necessary as they play cat-and-mouse with Jena in an apocalyptic America.

The Cast of Upload Season One:

In this new series, we’ll see Robbie Amell (a regular from The Flash) taking over as our main protagonist, Daniel Davis; whilst Emma Dumont will portray his wife, Sarah Davis; Veronica Dunne stars as the villainous mastermind Jena Mathers, and George Diaz play her right-hand man Hector Zuniga. Jay Hernandez also stars in Upload season one portraying Dr. Ethan Anderson, who has been testing on the newest Upload: Evan Walker.

Summary for Upload Season 1:

Upload season one; is set in a post-apocalyptic; America, where only the wealthiest; can afford to live inside ‘the walled city. The rest are left outside, scraping out; an existence; on what’s known as “the frontier.” Most head; there willingly for job prospects and amenities; that doesn’t exist; within but many more; are born; into life beyond; the walls; either because they were abandoned; by their parents or condemned criminals. As you might expect, those living; on the frontiers; have less access to medical care, food, and education; than those who reside in a safe haven. It also leaves them vulnerable to attacks, from bandits looking; for easy prey… which is why Daniel Davis; has created the Upload.

The Upload; is a series of robotic weapons; that live in the frontier and are programmed; to kill bandits; on sight. What Daniel; didn’t foresee, however, was how this would backfire, as those who had been living outside; where more than willing; to use them against him; for their own personal gain. As we enter; Season Two, these robots have become sentient; beings with an agenda; of their own – one which will make life even harder for Daniel’s company if they’re not careful.
