Knives Out 2 : Rian Johnson reveals the epic title of the Mystery Sequel .

Knives Out 2 is an upcoming American mystery film set to release on October 25th, 2020. The film is being directed by Rian Johnson, who also directed the first Knives Out, with a script he co-wrote alongside Michael H. Weber. This second installation follows master detective Benoit Blanc as he tackles a new case and continues his search for the elusive killer Benny Laipple.

What is the plot of the story ?

On the run from an unknown agent, master detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) is on a mission to uncover the truth behind the “Happy Birthday Killer.” The killer has been terrorizing known and unknown women for years, but has only been apprehended twice.
Blanc must team up with a new female partner (Anne Hathaway), whose past may be more sinister than her current disguise. Once they track down their target, Blanc will have to face something he never expected: his own past.

Madelyn Cline portrayed the role of Linda Blucher, a female detective working with Blanc. She is his new partner and friend. Daniel Craig portrayed the role of Benoit Blanc, a master detective on a mission to uncover the truth. Katheryn Morris portrayed the role of Bridget Anderson, an unexperienced police officer who falls in love with one of her suspects. Anne Hathaway portrayed the role of Sophie Lustig, an antagonist mainly involved in physical fights and weapon shots. She is often seen carrying a dagger which she uses effectively without fail.

What are the difficulties they face ?

The lack of manpower, the sheer amount of crime being committed, and the ability to solve all these crimes within a span of a month is testing to say the least.
Despite this, they have no choice but to keep at it. The Detective’s first priority is always catching criminals in order to keep society alive. The themes explored include how a society would be if the police were not there to protect them. This makes the audience think about what could happen and take precautions before something like that happens. The film also explores the idea of a certain secret agent trying to blackmail Blanc so that he does not continue investigating anymore. This makes him look at his own life and try to decide whether he should keep going or stop.

Who is the antagonist ? What are its motives ?

The antagonist is Sophie Lustig. She is shown to be a black widow type assassin who tries to get in the way of Blanc’s investigations. Her motives are that she wants to save the murderer from getting caught so that no one learns that he had murdered her husband ten years ago. Sophie Lustig is an antagonist because her actions are directly opposed to Blanc’s goals.

What are the epic scenes ?

The epic scenes were used to induce suspense and make the audience feel fear for the characters. They involved extremely high stakes, intense action and a very serious tone. In one scene, Blanc is seen with a head injury caused by Sophie Lustig. He passes out when she shoots him in the head. His partner is thus left alone to confront her in an epic weapon shot that lasted for about half a minute as they fight with their weapons in an abandoned warehouse. Another scene involves Blanc being run over by an assassin in a BMW car twice due to him being paralyzed after being shot.

Yes, I do recommend watching this. This film is extremely entertaining for both the young and the old. Teens would especially be interested in it as it explores adolescence and adulthood themes such as friendship, sacrifice, fighting for what you believe in, love, and hope.
