After being captured by the warlord and his army, Imperator Furiosa becomes a prisoner and a slave. She is slowly dehumanized and becomes a commodity. The warlord’s army makes her work hard on the road. Because of lack of water, Max is left for dead in the desert with other victims of the warlord’s reign of terror. The sadistic warlord wants to capture Imperator Furiosa, who has escaped from his citadel with her followers and all the water he needs to survive.

The warlord is the antagonist. He terrorizes his people through the control of water. He enslaves those who disagree with his dogma. The warlord wants Imperator Furiosa back so that he can use her to breed new soldiers for his army and have enough water to sustain them as they terrorize nearby tribes and also people for more slaves, women, and children.

What are the epic scenes?

The suffering of the warlord’s slaves is terrible. These people are dehumanized and are treated like animals. Some are kept to work in the citadel, others to act as guards, and the rest to breed new soldiers for the army. The warlord is morbidly obese and suffers from heart disease. This makes him crueler as he does not want his empire to fall into other hands after his death. In a desperate act of betrayal, Imperator Furiosa shows Max how to get inside the citadel and help her would-be victims escape their fate for them to find “the green place” where water is abundant and also violence does not rule supreme.

Who is the most loved character?

Max is the most loved character in this movie because he is the protagonist. He had lived his life as a wanderer until Imperator Furiosa found him in the desert.  And brought him back to reality by showing him what the world had become and why she needed his help. Max was reluctant at first, but once he saw her cause, he also became her ally.

Would you recommend watching this?

Yes, I would highly recommend this movie. It’s a beautiful piece of film-making and also martial arts. It is not one to be missed if you are a fan of action movies, action flicks, and those that love the old-school running man movies with car chases and special effects that are among the best.
