For Archie Andrews and his friends, nothing is as it seems. As a new school year begins, the town of Riverdale is reeling from the tragic death of high school golden boy Jason Blossom—and nothing feels the same. Archie’s on-again-off-again relationship with coldhearted rich girl Veronica Lodge is pushed to the side when a new girl arrives in town, exciting both Archie and Betty Cooper—she brings new energy to their small town life and changes everything in ways no one could have ever imagined.

What is the plot of the story ?

A new beginning. When a new student arrives in town, she causes a rift in an already complicated friendship. Meanwhile, Betty and Archie are forced to face the reality of a new town adversary that puts them all at risk. Also, the Equalist revolution is revealed which affects Riverdale for the worst and changes relationships between friends forever. Archie and Jughead find themselves in a bad situation. Meanwhile, Betty is worried that Archie might have fallen in love with Veronica as she catches him staring at her. Betty and Jughead are in a bad situation which grows from bad to worse.

The cast include Lili Reinhart , Cole Sprouse , KJ Apa , Camilla Mendes , Ashleigh Murray , Mädchen Amick , Marisol Nichols , Luke Perry and Mark Consuelos . Shannen Doherty portrayed Alice Cooper in the TV series. Lili Reihart portrayed the role of Betty Cooper , while Cole Sprouse portrayed the role of Jughead Jones . KJ Apa plays the role of Archie Andrews . Camila Mendes played Veronica Lodge in the show . Ashleigh Murray and Madchen Amick play Josie McCoy and Shelly Jinks respectively. Marisol Nichols portray Hermione Lodge in the show. Jughead’s mother, Gladys Jones , will be played by Gina Gershon who will also recur. Riverdale is a small town with large issues. It includes murder, drug use and sex, which are all illegal in the book. Riverdale has also had many people come and go to the town including the Cooper family , who have been accused of being killers by Betty Cooper who, throughout the story, is trying to prove that they are not murderers. In addition, the mystery of Jason Blossom’s death has yet to be solved. Betty and her relationships with her friends are always being tested as she is being accused of being a murderer and sometimes even a liar. Betty also struggles with her feelings for Archie Andrews , who likes Veronica Lodge . They both have problems that they must deal with in their love life . Archie struggles with his feelings for Veronica and Betty who doesn’t approve of his relationship choice. The main conflict in this story is the mystery of who killed Jason Blossom , which has not been solved yet. This was a major turning point for those involved in the case including the Coopers .

Who is the antagonist ? What are its motives ?

The antagonist is Veronica Lodge who has an intense hatred for Archie Andrews because of the way he treated her. As the years roll on, she takes that hatred out on everyone in Riverdale. She has a huge social status in the high school and she is the most powerful person in town . In addition, she also has a strong influence over her mother Hermione Lodge . Another antagonist is Alice Cooper who struggles with her feelings for Betty’s father Hal , even though they have been divorced for years now.

Would you recommend watching this ?

I would recommend watching this show because it is a great show for people who aren’t into murder mysteries. However, I would be careful with the amount of murders that happen in the book so that you don’t feel too drugged out. However, it’s a very interesting drama and those who enjoy seeing relationships in different situations will enjoy it. Thanks for reading !
