“Our Beloved Summer ” Setting high standards for korean drama industry !

What is the plot of the series ?

The show is about a high school couple who filmed a documentary together. And then went their separate ways. Ten years later. They are both back in town and get pulled back into the camera’s lens – and each other’s lives. They have to deal with all the baggage that came with their breakup ten years ago. As well as new conflicts that have arisen in the present.

What are some of the conflicts that arise in the show?

The two main conflicts are whether or not to continue their relationship.  And how to deal with the aftermath of their high school documentary. They have to grapple with all the hurt they caused each other ten years ago.  As well as new issues that have arisen since then.

Who is in the cast?

Choi Woo-Shik as Choi Ung, 29 years old. Song Ha-hyun as young Choi Ung .A free-spirited building illustrator who goes by the pseudonym “Go-oh”(Loves Kook Yeon-soo).

Kim Da-mi as Kook Yeon-soo, 29 years old. A realistic PR expert. She is fiercely independent and is the type to not bother others about her feelings.(Loves Choi Ung). Lee Chun-hee as Byun Seung-hyuk, 30 years old. The director of the documentary and Choi Woo-Shik’s senior in high school. He has a lot of regrets in life.(Marries Kwon Ji-Yoon).

How do they solve their differences?

They use their own unique methods to communicate and understand each other. Choi Ung is able to see the beauty in Kook Yeon-soo’s straightforwardness.  And Kook Yeon-soo gradually comes to understand Choi Ung’s passion for life.

What is the relationship between Choi Ung and Kook Yeon-soo?

Choi Ung and Kook Yeon-soo are complete opposites but are still drawn to each other. Choi Ung is free-spirited while Kook Yeon-soo is more conservative and reserved.  And Kook Yeon-soo gradually comes to understand Choi Ung’s passion for life. Despite their differences, they are still able to find common ground and develop a strong relationship.

Which is the best scene in the drama?

There are many great scenes in the drama, but my favourite is when Choi Ung and Kook Yeon-soo finally confess their feelings for each other. They have been through a lot together by that point. And it was really touching to see them finally admit their love for each other. The scene is filled with emotion and is very memorable.

Critics have praised the drama for its strong writing and great performances. They say that it is a well-made show that will keep you entertained from beginning to end. I wholeheartedly agree!

I absolutely loved Our Beloved Summer! The writing was superb, the acting was phenomenal, and the themes were very relatable. I would definitely recommend this drama to anyone who wants to watch a great Korean drama.
