What Do We Know About Season 2 of The American Barbecue Showdown?

For years, Netflix has been involved with cooking show challenges, and “MasterChef,” “Top Chef,” and “Chopped” have all been around for decades. Given the popularity of these programs, Netflix has held its own cookery show competitions for fans of the style.

In 2020, Blinq launched a new program called “The American Barbecue Showdown,” in which eight individuals from all across the United States (Texas, Georgia, and the Carolinas) were chosen to compete for the title of American Barbecue Champion.

Season 1 had eight episodes, and the main challenge for each was to complete every aspect of barbecuing, from basic BBQ methods to grilling unusual meats, as well as last-minute challenges to see how quickly they could think on their feet.

The first season of The American Barbecue Showdown, a reality competition series, has been very well received, including by TV.com and the Decider podcast. “The contestants on ‘The American Bar BBQ Showdown’ are fun to watch, and it appears that they’re all excellent at what they do,” according to TV.com’s review. But in the end, food will decide who wins; thus far, everything has gone well.”

The fans want to see more of the confrontation. Will there be a Season 2?

The American Barbecue Showdown Season 2 Release Date Details:

Despite the program’s popularity, Netflix has yet to announce that they will be releasing Season 2 of “The American Barbecue Showdown.”

Given the fact that the streaming service has neither confirmed nor officially announced a cancellation, there’s no reason to believe a second season will not proceed as of now.

If the new run is in the works, it’ll most likely premiere in Fall 2021. “Noting The Cinemaholic’s previous assertion about culinary shows on Netflix,” they added, “we are confident that this particular series will at least receive another season.”

It is not clear yet when Netflix will release the new episode of “The American Barbecue Showdown.” It aired its debut season on September 18, 2020, so it’s feasible that Netflix will release the new episode at about the same time this year.

It’s also possible that the new season was delayed as a result of the pandemic and the production delays COVID-19 has caused for many television programs and movies. We can only hope it arrives soon!

Since Season 1 of the cooking competition had a stellar cast of judges, there’s no cause to believe that the show’s original members have departed or been replaced. Viewers could very well witness the same pairs on television again in the near future.

The American Barbecue Showdown Season 2 Challenges For Contestants:

Season 1 of “The American Barbecue Showdown” had eight episodes, each one featuring a unique and difficult task for the participants to complete, from grilling basic meats properly to executing unusual cuts like raccoon and iguana.

In the second episode, contestants were put to the test in a July 4th-themed cookoff, and the season’s last episode proved to be the most difficult: they had to construct their own pit.

That’s not to mention that judges have on occasion interrupted the contestants in the middle of their cooking time to provide them new challenges in order to increase the heat level in the battle.

Season 2 of “The American Barbecue Showdown” will undoubtedly be as cringe-inducing as the first, with fans and contestants alike subjected to an equally difficult process in order to win the second season.

Or, fresh contestants might be challenged to prepare various meats cuts, whip up comparable excellent sides, construct barbecue wraps and, of course, complete the challenge.
