Star Trek Season 2 Release Date Details:

The series, which is set to premiere in February 2022 on Paramount+ in the United States and the last 10 episodes.

Each episode of Picard is shown in Canada on the same day as the Paramount+ release on the specialty networks CTV Sci-Fi Channel (English) and Z (French) before being made available to stream on Crave.

Amazon Prime Video’s worldwide availability in over 200 countries and territories allows Amazon Prime members to watch the episodes as soon as 24 hours after their US debut.

Star Trek Season 2 Filming Details:

CBS announced in June 2020 that it was taking part in the “All In Challenge” to raise money for COVID-19 disaster relief. Fans who gave money would be eligible to visit the series’ set, meet Patrick Stewart, and have a walk-on role in an episode if they donated.

In February 2021, Stewart was a part of the rebranded streaming service Paramount+’s marketing campaign for Super Bowl LV. The franchise’s “First Contact Day” virtual event (celebrating the franchise’s fictitious holiday marking the initial contact between humans and aliens in the Star Trek universe) was held on April 5, 2021, featuring a panel for the season.

The panel was followed by a trailer for the season, which confirmed that Time Travel and Q. would be themed in Season 2. Stewart and de Lancie talked about the season during the presentation.

On June 16, a second teaser was published to commemorate “Capitan Picard Day,” with a glimpse of de Lancie’s return and hints of an alternative timeline for the characters.

A brief poster was also published, depicting a modern-looking Los Angeles. The emphasis on other characters, such as Seven of Nine, during alternative timeline events, was noted by Collider’s Liz Shannon Miller in the preview’s appearance of Q and the prominence on other figures such as Seven of Nine.

The return of Q and the appearance of Seven of Nine gave many fans goosebumps, according to MTV’s Janice Skidmore. James Whitbrook of io9 described the teaser poster as “cryptic,” while Matt Jackson at Syfy Wire noted that it gave him chills.
