About the Series “Mayo Chicki”

Mayo Chiki is a romantic comedy anime that revolves around Kinjiro “Kin-chan” Sakamachi. He has gynophobia which makes him really afraid of women, and only likes guys. To make matters worse, he moves to the all-girls school, Sakura Jousui Junior High School, due to his father’s job transfer where nothing changes for this guy except now everyone wants to get closer to him because they find out about his phobia! Mayo Chiki Season One aired in 2011 with 13 episodes total.

“Mayo Chicki” Season 2 Renewal and Release Date News

In the Mayo Chiki season one finale episode, there was a notice at the end of it that said Mayo Chiki Season two would be airing in 2012. To add to this news, ANN reported in September 2021 about how Mayo Chicki is getting another OVA for its sequel, which will air sometime in 2022 before the new year!

“Mayo Chicki” Season 2 Speculated Plotline and Story Overview

According to Mayo Chiki’s synopsis, a new girl is entering the scene, and she has some pretty high status. She is also someone who Subaru will be working with as an undercover bodyguard of sorts. Mayo Chiki season two is speculated to follow Subaru and her adventures in protecting the girl from any harm.

In a previous post, it was said that Mayo Chiki’s season two would be releasing later this year or early next year. However, there has been no word on when exactly they will start airing new episodes, so we can only speculate at this point!
