The series follows Lee Leander (DaCosta), an African American corporate attorney from New York City who finds herself stuck in a small Southern town after her car breaks down while trying to get home following a work trip that went awry. To get back into civilization without getting arrested or injured during her journey, she enlists the help of local mechanic Jackson, Maine (Chestnut).
