Kevin Feige has talked about the Fantastic Four Reboot and teased some updates and spoilers! The director said that “the goal is to start a new movie franchise,” which will “hopefully be as fun and successful.” He also went into detail about how he was excited to work with Jeremy Renner.

Hi Kevin, as a fan of Fantastic Four, I have to say the new reboot looks great and could be even better than the original if you work it right. But what are your thoughts about that?

I think it’s a great opportunity. I think the one thing about Fantastic Four is that everybody has an opinion of what should be done, and lots of people have opinions as to who should do them now. But we’re going into this, eyes wide open with respect for everything that came before but not feeling like we need to follow any specific rules or patterns from the past either.

It was really important to us – Kevin Feige, our producers at Fox to find filmmakers who are passionate about taking on that responsibility and getting up every day excited by creating new characters in some cases, which they can invent themselves because nobody else has ever made movies based on these particular superheroes so there isn’t anything you can reference-except for every comic book geek’s dream which is to be able to see the Fantastic Four onscreen.
