Loki Season 2: Is It Announced By Disney+ Yet?

Marvel Studios has officially green-lit the second season of “Loki,” starring Tom Hiddleston, as announced at the climax of the first season. The character will continue his journey on television when it returns later for its sophomore outing. Here’s everything we know so far:

Loki Season 2 Renewal Details and Plot Updates:

Loki is an animated show that served as a continuation of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) released on Disney+ for their third installment of shows. The events take place after the Loki trickster escapes with the Tesseract during the New York Avengers: Endgame time-travel heist.

He was quickly arrested by an organization that manages the flow of time called The Time Variance Authority/TVA. Instead of being terminated quickly for not following orders, he was picked by Agent Mobius M. Mobius to help their mission find a rogue Loki variant, Sylvie.

Nevertheless, Loki and Sylvie choose to team up instead to look into the being behind Time-Keepers. After they discovered that these beings do not exist, there is a clear sign for family members to reunite with loved ones at funerals.

Loki Season 2 will happen as long as his TVA form is stamped with the words “LOKI WILL RETURN IN SEASON 2.” This makes Loki the only Marvel Cinematic Universe show thus far, too score a renewal. WandaVision will last a limited number of episodes, and only the Falcon and the Winter Soldier currently have confirmation for any further seasons.

This is not surprising. Coming into the Hiddleston-led series, Marvel Studios has been open about the possibility of Loki’s storyline running through multiple seasons. With season 1 now over, it all makes sense.

When Jonathan Majors’ He Who Remains has been found, Sylvie forces the God of Mischief back into the TVA. Instead of the original organization that he was previously part of, he found himself in a different version with Kang managing the specific bureau.

The question now is what Marvel Studios will do about launching the second season of Loki. When looking at their current lineup, they have plenty of commitments on both the small and big screens until 2023. With this in mind, it might be difficult to bring back a show that just ended.

Another question to consider is Kang’s involvement in other projects. Although he appears on TV as the villain for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, is it possible that Kang could also appear in another project since his relationship with Loki has been pivotal so far?

Loki Season 2 Release Date Details:

If the conjecture that Loki season 2 will commence in January 2022 is accurate, it would be an indication that the long-awaited Loki Season 2 of 2023 is coming.

Thanks to Kang the Conqueror’s reveal at the end of “Loki,” season 2 seems likely to come before Ant-Man & The Wasp too, which puts it ahead of February 17th, 2023.

With regards to the interview, Agent Coulson actor Clark Gregg claimed Tom Hiddleston was filming “10 or 12 episodes”, which should dispel any doubts that a second season has already been filmed.
