Dave Bautista talks about Guardians of the Galaxy character “Drax”!

Dave Bautista (Drax) was on the set of Guardians of the Galaxy and talked about his character. He said, “I’m Dave Bautista. I play Drax in Marvel’s Guardian’s Of The Galaxy.” Dave went on to talk about what it is like playing a character with only one line for most of the movie. He also talks about how he has been training with retired wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin. Dave talks about how much he loved working with Lee Pace, who plays Ronan in Guardians of the Galaxy.

About Guardians of the Galaxy movies

Guardians of the Galaxy is a Marvel Studios space opera film series about a group of intergalactic superheroes known as Guardians. The first two films are written and directed by James Gunn.

The story follows the character Peter Quill; (also known as Star-Lord), who has been abducted from Earth; to outer space and raised by aliens, called “the Ravagers.” He later takes on the name “Star-Lord”; after going into his late father’s ship named “Starlord” to find an orb; that can give him great power or destroy all life; in the universe, but instead, he finds himself in possession of some other orb; which tells him how to stay alive while avoiding certain death.

When it came to speaking with Dave Bautista (Drax) on set during our interview at AGBU’s 12th Annual Gala Film Festival benefitting Armenia Fund, he was incredibly excited as if I brought out my phone, he would have hopped right over there to start filming again; which made sense because this is Dave’s first feature film role ever! His career has been spent mainly wrestling but now lives his dream by playing Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy. Dave was very animated and hilarious as he described his character, who is a member of an elite group that protects our galaxy from outer space threats.

Hearing Dave talks about Drax in detail made us really want to see Guardians of the Galaxy when it releases for sure because not only does Dave sound like one cool dude, but “Drax” sounds like such a fascinating person!

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol III Release Date Speculations

The 3rd installment of the movie series “Guardians of the Galaxy” will be an MCU Phase 4 movie and is speculated to release sometime in 2023. However, we do not have an official release date by the Russo brothers. We can expect to see more of Drax in the 3rd volume of the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Is Drax evil or a hero?

Dave Bautista explains Dave describes him as “an ex-human with bloodlust and vengeance on his mind; however, he has some pity.” He also said, “he’s had a rough life,” which make us feel bad for Dave Bautista’s heartless character 🙂

Dave Bautista said, “Drax can absorb the powers of anyone and anything.” Dave also says that he has a physical power that is stronger than any other character in the Marvel Universe.

Is Dave Bautista trying to get into acting?
