Fear Street 4: What Do We Know So Far About The Fourth Installment?

While the Netflix Fear Street movie series has yet to find a concluding story, there are many more books in the R.L. Stine series that could be picked up for future installments.

Fear Street tells its story over three movies that take place in 1994, 1978, and 1666 respectively, and pays homage to horror classics such as Scream and Friday the 13th. The first three books in the Fear Streets series follow a group of high school kids who must survive their encounters with an evil witch that periodically causes Shadyside townsfolk to go on violent killing sprees. The Fier family’s investigation takes them back to the original hanging site of Sarah Fier, a local witch from 1666.

Fear Street Part Four closes on an overwhelming reveal, a scary interaction with a bread-slicer and the many survivors of Shadyside’s dangerous mall. Here is the information that was collected about Part 4’s story, cast, and release date.

Fear Street 4 Release Date Details:

The original trilogy was all filmed back to back over a three-month period in advance of their planned release date. Netflix originally bought the tetralogy when parts 1, 2, and 3 were pulled from cinema screens for an unknown period due to a global situation.

The films finally appeared on Netflix on July 2, 9, and 16 – more than one year after they had been scheduled to release in theaters. We won’t be seeing the fourth “Fear Street” movie until 2022, and given its production timeline, we will likely see it in summer 2023.

Though we don’t know yet which route they’ll go in for the next installment, Fear Street fans will likely have to wait a bit longer if it’s a TV series.

Fear Street has been plagued by different serial killers in every generation, and many of these serial killers only play a minor role in the trilogy, leaving the potential open for movies based around Ruby Lane, Billy Barker, or the Humpty Dumpty killer.

Fear Street 4 is the direct sequel to the first trilogy since Fear Street 3 ends with someone snatching the witch’s book from its former altar, teasing a new nightmare. A sequel could be set in the present day and follow adult versions of Deena, Josh, and Sam.
