The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard release date has been announced! The film will be released on 16th June 2021. The title of the movie is based on a novel by JT Ellison, and it stars Vin Diesel as Samuel Krauss, the bodyguard who is hired to protect Christine (played by Ruby Rose). However, things get complicated when he falls in love with her. The cast also includes Michelle Yeoh, who plays Christine’s mother, Eleanor; Sam Heughan as Jack Delaney; and Laurence Fishburne as Detective Morales.

The film is directed by Patrick Hughes and written by Joe Carnahan. The movie will be released in theatres on June 16th, 2021, with a special sneak peek screening at the Toronto International Film Festival next Monday, September 11th.

The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard Plot Summary:

The film starts where we see Sam drawing up plans at home, being called into work unexpectedly. His boss tells him there has been a hit on his wife. Sam is stunned, questioning how they even found out; about her and why she was targeted for assassination, like this in the first place. The boss tries to assure him; that he’ll be safe from now on; since they have taken care of it. But after seeing how shaken up he is, he offers to put him into retirement; instead, if that’s what would make him feel better; while stating that there are already plenty of men; lined up ready to take over; for when he decides to step down anyway.

The Hitman being retired: In the next shot, we see Sam sitting at home; with his son Ryan, who just had an accident playing soccer. Apparently got tackled by two opposing team members; before getting back up and running away; without telling anyone, which Sam chides him for.

The Hitman’s Wife: We then see Sam getting a call from his wife, who is in Paris with her friends and needs to make it back home quickly because someone has tried to break into their house.

“The Hitman’s Wife” tells how she met the hitman (Sam) when they were both students at Oxford University, where he was studying Philosophy and Theology as well as being on the rowing team while she studied Classics. He told her that he wanted nothing more than just to rowboats every day, but once you start doing this job – there is no way out of it.”

The Star Cast for The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard:

Set four years after the events of the original, bodyguard Michael Bryce (Reynolds) once again meets up with assassin Darius Kincaid (Jackson) as they embark on a new adventure to save Darius’ wife, Sonia (Hayek), from new threats. The sequel also stars Antonio Banderas, Morgan Freeman, Richard E. Grant, and Frank Grillo.
