Where the new season of Chicago Med picks up will depend on where it left off.  There’s a lot to explore, including what comes next for Will after Dr. Goodwin terminated him due to his role in compromising a clinical trial. We’ll also see how Dean taking over as temporary chief of the ED works out given his track record for blurring lines and ruffling feathers.

The show can choose to honor the departures of Natalie and April in a fun and fitting way, such as by having them appear in the season 7 premiere for their final farewell with the hospital. Alternatively, they could be written off while we’re not looking.
