Madeleine Mantock Exits The “Charmed” Series After Season 3!

The third season of the “Charmed” series is coming to an end, and Madeleine Mantock is not coming back for it. This was made known through her Twitter account. The actress made a tweet on March 5th that said she had decided to leave the show after 3 seasons because she felt like it was time for her character to move on. She has been in the show since last year when she replaced Holly Marie Combs as Piper Halliwell, one of three sisters who are witches with magical powers.

About the Series “Charmed”

“Charmed” is a television series made in 1998 and running up to 2006, with the last season airing from 2005-2006. It had nine seasons made for it and made its premiere on September 21st, 1998. The show follows three witches; who use their powers to protect innocents against demons that have come into our world through portals; connected to Earth’s energy fields.

The first two episodes of this new season aired back on October 14th, 2013. And they will be followed by eight more before the end of March 2014 when the finale airs on April 20th, 2014. This third episode was called “Love Is A Hex,” where Piper tries her hardest not to fall in love again after just getting out of an abusive relationship because she’s not ready to let go of her pain.

“Charmed” Series Reboot Renewal Status

There was a rumor circulating that the “Charmed” series reboot is renewed for another season. That rumor has been confirmed to be false according to TVLine’s Michael Ausiello in his article titled, “Ausiello: ‘The Nine Lives of Chloe King’ Cancelled? ‘NCIS’ Renewed?”. There are no more seasons planned after Season Three.

Madeleine Mantock exits the “Charmed” series after Season 3!

Mantock made her final screen appearance as Prue Halliwell on an episode aired this past Friday called “Awakened”. The show opened with a flashback about how she and Phoebe became sisters when their parents died in childbirth. She also made mention wanting to quit acting and live with her husband and two children in England.

The finale found Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) being made a goddess, while Piper (Holly Marie Combs) made an ultimate sacrifice so that the sisters could be together again one day.

At the start of Season Four, it will also find Paige Matthews (‘Rose McGowan’) taking over as The Charmed One after Prue’s death.
