In a recent interview, Don Mancini (creator of Chucky) revealed that the TV series will be coming out in 2021! He also talked about how he expects the show to scare people more than any of the movies did. We are so excited about this announcement and can’t wait to see what happens next!

Chucky TV series star Devon Sawa debuts a new teaser poster for the horror series, with an announcement for the next Child’s Play project coming tomorrow. The series is a sequel to 2017 Cult of Chucky and ignores the 2019 Mat Hamill-starring reboot.

Chucky will see the return of franchise veterans Brad Dourif, Alex Vincent, Jennifer Tilly, Christine Elise McCarthy, and Fiona Dourif with newcomers Sawa, Zackary Arthur, Teo Briones, Alyvia Alyn Lind.

Chucky will be set in a small, idyllic town. A vintage Good Guy doll turns up at a yard sale and leads to a series of murders. However, the search for the killer exposes secrets that have been hidden for many years – leading to chaos amongst its citizens.

Mancini has been in development for nearly four years, after disappointing with the Child’s Play reboot and production getting underway in March of this year.

The “IT” out this past week, a new teaser trailer for “Child’s Play” was released on social media. The brief clip showcased the familiar red hair color of Chucky, and an announcement declaring more information is soon to come.

The production cycle of the Chucky series, led by Mancini who first announced his interest in getting it made, has taken a less-than-traditional route since SYFY and the USA gave up their shares for it. It was finally decided that the series would air on both networks.

Production of the upcoming horror project is nearing its conclusion, and news about the film has started to heat up. In addition, a teaser trailer for the series will premiere during Comic-Con next week. Fans are eagerly anticipating Chucky’s return as seen in this exclusive poster design for the future TV series.

It’s anyone’s guess as to what tomorrow’s announcement will be about Chucky. It would seem feasible for them to give us a better look at the series with footage or an image, but there might not be enough time for that before its original debut next fall. The fast pace of these revelations suggests that the series will premiere as planned at some point in fall 2021.
