Michelle Yeoh Reveals Exclusive Updates About The “Avatar” Sequel!

Michelle Yeoh has revealed some exclusive updates about the “Avatar” sequel! The Hollywood actress, who is cast in the film as a new character, spoke to People Magazine and shared some details about her character. Michelle will play an ex-special forces soldier named Tonowari who mentors Jake’s son. Michelle also revealed that she has been training with Wushu masters for months now in preparation for this role. She says that it was challenging but great fun!

The movie Avatar sequel is slated to have a sequel released in 2022, Michelle Yeoh revealed. The film will be helmed by filmmaker James Cameron and is set to star Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana as well. Michelle was quoted saying “I know that they are planning the shooting for Avatar coming out next year.” She added: “They’re currently doing some re-shoots not far from here actually. I can’t wait [to see it]!”

“The original movie of course touched on Pandora’s natural resources but this sequel looks like it’ll go into detail about what those things could be.”

“Avatar is a very important film for this studio,” said producer Jon Landau. “It’s the highest-grossing movie of all time and we know there are more stories to tell.” Michelle Yeoh also talked about how she was thrilled that Cameron had found his way back to Pandora after years on other projects like Titanic and The Abyss. Michelle added, “… I’m excited because it was always my understanding that humans need stuff too!” Michelle revealed her excitement over the sequel in an interview with Yahoo Movies UK: ‘I can’t wait!’

While Michelle couldn’t reveal much about plot details which could mean there’s hope for them yet! Michelle said. “But when you see how they are treated by the Navi people – or other human beings – I think what happens with humanity will make sense.”

She continued, “I love that there’s a symbol of hope for the human race.” “There will be some sort of mortal danger on them to go through this journey. I think it’ll be very exciting,” Michelle said with a laugh.

And revealed how long after 2021 the sequel would take place! It sounds like Michelle; might have an important role; in not only saving humanity as well as restoring the balance between both species living on Pandora.

She revealed at New York’s Comic-Con panel on Saturday that she would return in Avatar Sequel, but this time playing Commander Lin Beifong instead of Captain Li Shang! Michelle will also portray dual roles with James Cameron reportedly looking to find an Asian actress who can match Michelle’s talent and grace for the other lead female character part.
