James Gunn is the director of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and James Gunn has revealed that his final marvel movie will be a “different kind” of superhero film. Director James Gunn talks about his final marvel movie in an exclusive interview with us! James says, “I’ll be gone from this part of the MCU to do my own thing.”
About James Gunn
Director James Gunn is an American film director, screenwriter, and social media personality. He has directed the films Slither (2006), Super (2010), The Belko Experiment (2016), and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. James was born in St Louis on August James Edward Gunne, He attended Saint Louis Priory School before studying filmmaking at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts. He married actress Jenna Fischer in September 2010; they have a daughter named Elizabeth. James also played Klingon language expert Lieutenant JG Godwulfe Ricardo Montalban.
Director James Gunn is an American filmmaker, screenwriter, actor, and voice artist. James grew up in St Louis Missouri with a love of movies which started by watching Saturday morning cartoons like Scooby-Doo and The Flintstones.
The Plot to James Gunn’s final Marvel movie
It has been confirmed by Marvel that this will be James’ last time; as part of this universe; with his final movie; being James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. He found out about his firing; in July 2018 and it was not a pleasant experience; for James, he said that “I will be really sad; when this is over because I love these people so much.”
James talks about what we can expect from him on his final Marvel movie
He said, “I’m really excited about this next film. Because it’s the end of a trilogy. And I get to tie up some loose ends. We’re going into territory very different than we’ve seen before in these movies.” James Gunn also expressed his excitement for his cast and crew on this project which is due out in 2023.
James has been hard at work with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. III. He found out that he would be directing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. III while getting ready to go back to Atlanta to shoot another episode (The Office) and it wasn’t easy news for James as he will miss everyone dearly after production wraps up. James explained how he is glad to finally be able to close out the trilogy and tie up any loose ends that have been left from Volumes I & II.”
James Gunn also expressed his excitement for his cast and crew on this project which is due out in 2023.
About James Gunn’s Marvel Projects
James has been working on Marvel projects since 2008 when he first directed Super before going onto Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) Volumes I & II, GOTG: Mission Impossible III (2020), Avengers: Endgame (2019). James will finish out his work at marvel studios after directing Volume III of Guardians, then go back to his own company, Pytka Productions.
He has also been working on a TV show for James Gunn Production called The Suicide Squad since 2016 with no set release date yet.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol III
The third and final installment of James Gunn’s Guardians Trilogy will be due out in 2023. Fans can expect a lot more music from all the previous Marvel Directors who have played with soundtracks, including James himself. The plot for this movie is still being kept tightly under wraps but James has said there may or may not be flashbacks to some events that happened before Volume I & II, so fans should stay tuned!

James Gunn has said he’s done with Marvel Studios! He’ll be directing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol III and then that will tie up all his work for them.
This movie sounds like it may have some foreshadowing to what James himself is working on, which would make this one even more exciting!
“I don’t know what to say, James! You are one of the main reasons I have loved Marvel for so long. I am going to miss your wit and humor but I’m excited to see how this trilogy wraps up!”
