Anthony Mackie is the newest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In an interview with Collider, Anthony talks about his promotion to “Captain America” and how he feels about being part of a “bromance.”

The actor also talked about some of his favorite moments from Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Anthony Mackie is a U.S. actor and rapper that has been cast in the Marvel cinematic universe as Steve Rogers / Captain America, making his debut appearance in the first film of The Avengers series, released on May 04th, 2012. Anthony also made an appearance with Scarlett Johansson for a scene where they are seen flirting together at Tony Stark’s party, which was subsequently cut from the theatrical release but retained for DVD releases and aired during ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas programming event entitled “Iron Man: Armored Adventures.”

he reprised his role as Falcon in Captain America: Winter Soldier alongside Chris Evans, who plays their titular character, and Robert Redford, respectively, at one point fighting against the titular villain, the Winter Soldier.

They filmed aerial shots with a helicopter flying through fields of corn stalks near Ohio State University, which included him riding an old motorcycle, chasing down The Winter Soldier. He said some of his favorite memories were when they filmed these scenes because he was able to do something that he loves doing in real life- being outside! Anthony also talked about what it meant for him as an actor to be playing such a well-known character as Captain American. Certain things come along with this responsibility, but it’s been great so far!

Anthony Mackie on “Bromance”!

The word “bromance” is defined as a close but non-sexual relationship between two or more men, so I definitely think that there’s something like this going on in our movie because we’re all very tight-knit people who have been together for years now.”

Anthony Mackie has had his share of “Bromances” throughout his acting career and now will have another one in Marvel’s newest installment, The Winter Soldier, due out next week. In recent years, he played best buddies-turned-enemies Eric Brown, and James King Jr., who were both actors turned drug dealers in HBO’s acclaimed drama series The Wire.

He recently spoke about his latest “Bromance” with Captain America, and it sounds just like any other friendship he has ever had before: “[It] was a great man! We were out here shooting the first thing we shot after they promoted me to Cap. He came up to me and said, ‘I don’t know what you’ve done over the past ten months while I was asleep, but you’ve done something really right. You’re up there, and I’m down here now.’

He continued: “It was just a really great moment for me because he’s such an icon in the comic book world, and I always thought it would be cool to do that with him.”

Anthony Mackie has had his share of “Bromances” throughout his acting career and now will have another one in Marvel’s newest installment, The Winter Soldier, due out next week (April 2014). In recent years, he played best buddies-turned-enemies Eric Brown and James King Jr., who were forced to work together in the film “Prisoners,” and he played opposite Tom Hanks as his best friend’s son (also named Anthony Mackie) who had a crush on Meg Ryan’s daughter.

But this time, the roles are reversed: This time, it is Cap playing Mr. Straight Man to Mackie’s fast-talking Sam Wilson/The Falcon.
