Evil Season 3 Renewed – Everything We Know So Far!

Evil Season 3

Fans of Evil are rejoicing as the show has been renewed for a third season. Evil follows U.S. Marshall Clare Bennet who embarks on her new assignment with local law enforcement to investigate a series of grisly crimes that link back to an ancient battle between good and evil forces. What can we expect from Evil’s third season?

Evil Season 3 Renewal Status

Ever since Evil Season two’s finale, fans have been asking the question: “what will happen next?” The show was renewed for a third season back in January of this year. And we finally know some juicy details; about what Evil has in store. Evil is one of the few shows on TV; that genuinely scares me – I don’t watch horror movies anymore; because they just can’t compete; with something like Evil! It’s obvious to see why it’s taking villains; from folklore and mythology; as its inspiration (think Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster) but there are also plenty of original ideas; mixed into the mix. Whether you’re an Evil superfan or not, here are five things to look forward to; when Season three premieres; later this year.

Release Date Speculations for Evil Season 3

The Evil Season three release date hasn’t been announced yet. But the Evil Wiki lists October 2021 as a tentative schedule. A lot of shows are coming back for their new seasons; around this time – it’s when television networks start to ramp up; for award season and premieres in November and December. It makes sense they would want Evil on the air; then while audiences were still engaged rather; than springing it on us out of nowhere or holding off until 2022 like some other series have done recently *cough* The Walking Dead *cough*. But we’ll just have to wait patiently to see what happens!

Evil Season 3 Plot Expectations

The Evil Wiki has a full rundown of what is expected for Evil Season Three, but here are the highlights:

The third season will be based on author Chuck Palahniuk’s novel “Lullaby.”

Unlike previous seasons in which people possessed by evil spirits take over other people’s bodies to enact their plans, this time it’ll be more like a possession than occupation.

This change not only makes sense given that Lullaby was about an entire town plagued with a virus and how the survivors dealt with the ensuing chaos, but also because last night’s final scene hinted at something bigger going down next year – someone or something called Legion may have infiltrated our world from some sort of dark dimension or realm.

One of the Evil Season three showrunners, Evil Adam Shankman has already been spotted on set. Evil’s official Twitter account tweeted out a picture of him getting to work inside their soundstage as he directs filming for episode 201 – which is exciting! He also posted a video from behind-the-scenes with stars Alyssa Milano and Alan Tudyk chatting about what they’re up to now that Evil is back for another season (Milano said she was just at “Beyonce world” while Tudyk mentioned his upcoming Broadway play). This means production has started in earnest, so we should expect an Evil Season three premiere date announcement soon.

Cast and Characters Guide for Season 3:

  • Alyssa Milano as Debra Newell
  • Evil’s newest character is Detective Denny Malone, played by Jay Harrington. He replaces John Lithgow and is a family man with three kids who have dealt with Evil before in his hometown of Fairfield County.
  • His wife Julia is played by Andrea Anders; who also works for the sheriff’s department in this town that was once thought to be safe from Evil but now might not be so lucky.
  • Bruce Davison takes on the role of Arthur Mitchell – he does have ties to Evil history when it comes to Season two after all! This time around, we’ll see him as an older man rather than a younger one like viewers saw during season one.

There are also new characters to look forward to Denny Malone (Jay Harrington) who replaces John Lithgow and Andrea Anders play Julia who is both an FBI agent but wife of Detective Denny Malone; she works for the sheriff’s department in Fairfield County which was once thought to be safe from Evil but now might not be so lucky.
