DC Comics released the official trailer for Shazam! 2: The Fury of the Gods. In this film, Billy Batson shazam’s into an adult to help save his friends from Dr. Thaddeus Sivana. Along with Zachary Levi who plays Shazam, the cast includes Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy Freeman, Mark Strong as Doctor Sivana, and Djimon Hounsou as The Wizard Shazam – a powerful being who grants Billy Batson his powers to fight against evil forces that are out there threatening Earth’s existence!

Shazam! is an upcoming superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. It will be released in theaters on June 02, 2023. The movie follows Billy Batson and his best friend Freddy Freeman who get a shazam (the word used to turn them into superheroes) while also teaming up with Dr. Sivana’s children: Mary Marvel, Dudley Dukess Jr., Eugene Judd-Sivana II.

Plot Synopsis
From director David F. Sandberg comes New Line Cinema’s Shazam!, the origin story that shows us what happened when 14-year old orphan Billy Batson (Asher Angel) was given the power to become Earth’s Mightiest Mortal with just one word from ancient wizard Shazam (Djimon Hounsou). Now, although powerful, intelligent, and wise beyond his years, Billy has to learn how to become a man and master his powers quickly before the evil Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Mark Strong) unleashes an ancient shapeshifting Demogorgon on Earth which will endanger not only the world but also the universe as we know it!
