Kate Beckinsale Stars In Surprise Box Office Hit “Jolt”

“Jolt” is an upcoming American action-comedy film directed by Tanya Wexler from Scott Wascha. It stars Kate Beckinsale, Bobby Cannavale, Laverne Cox. In the film, Beckinsale plays jolt. She has been an action hero ever since her turn as Selene in “Underworld”. Now she is back with Jolt. The movie will be based on a 2012 novel by Anthony McCarten, telling the story of jolt’s quest to stop a scientist from unleashing something catastrophic.

Plot Summary

Lindy is a beautiful sardonically funny woman with a painful secret: Due to a lifelong, rare neurological disorder, she experiences sporadic rage-filled, murderous impulses that can only be stopped when she shocks herself with a special electrode device. Unable to find love and connection in a world that fears her bizarre condition, she finally trusts a man long enough to fall in love, only to find him murdered the next day. Heartbroken and enraged, she embarks on a revenge-filled mission to find his killer, while also being pursued by the police as the crime’s prime suspect.

In April 2019, it was announced Kate Beckinsale has joined the cast of the film with Tanya Wexler directing the movie. Principal photography began in July 2019.
