Lucia Villanueva (Emily Rios) has gone into hiding after the death of her boyfriend Julian, and she must build a new life for herself with help from unlikely allies;

Gustavo “El Oso” Zapata (Sergio Peris-Mencheta), who is now free but struggling to find his place outside prison walls without betraying those he cares about most;

Teddy McDonald (Carter Hudson) is starting up his own drug dealing business while trying not to get killed by Tony Saint or any number of enemies looking for revenge against him and Franklin;

and Michael Corleone (Carter Hudson), who is trying to find out what really happened with his brother’s death and stay one step ahead of the police, all while looking after his family.

The gang will have to keep running as they try to survive in a country where it feels like no place is safe. The stakes are high: those on the run risk everything;

those under arrest may never get out of jail alive, or if their luck does change, face lengthy prison sentences for serious crimes that come with more time inside than outside — “harder” time, according to some inmates. And then there’s everyone else caught in between—family members struggling with drug addiction or living paycheck-to-paycheck just getting by.

Each episode will explore a different story of how the fraying American Dream impacts people’s lives and leads them into unexpected territory as they struggle under the weight of unequal opportunity in their pursuit for success and redemption.

People can also stream all five seasons on FX+ or Amazon Prime Video beginning today.

Release of season 5:

As has been the case with most TV shows and movies, the coronavirus pandemic delayed Snowfall’s planned Season 4 release from July 2020 to February 2021. Before that, the series’ first three seasons all premiered in July, though it remains unclear if producers will return to that schedule moving forward. However, writer and executive producer Leonard Chang tweeted on April 22 that they’re “working hard to get you to season 5 as soon as possible,” urging fans to “stay tuned.”
