Batwoman Season 3: Release Date, Cast, Plot, Official Trailer and everything you need to know!

Batwoman Season 2

The Batwoman TV show is coming back for a third season! The first two seasons of Batwoman were so well-received by the public that it was inevitable an announcement would be made about Season 3. But what can we expect from this next instalment? We have all the information here in one place, including the release date and cast members. Read on to find out everything you need to know about Batwoman Season 3.

Cast Members:

Cast members include; Ruby Rose, Rachel Skarsten. And Elizabeth Anweis; as the villains Alice/The Queen of Hearts. Victoria “Vicki” Vale and Marine KC Olsen, respectively. The first two seasons featured a lot of cameos; from Batman canon characters, such as Bruce Wayne, Commissioner Gordon, and Superman. It seems Batwoman Season three; will do the same, with Alfred Pennyworth making an appearance; in one of the trailers. As well as Bruce Wayne, being mentioned by Alice.

Marine KC Olsen is a character who we met briefly when she was introduced to be dating Kate Kane’s estranged sister Sophie in season two. And it looks like things are going from bad to worse for Marine this time around because not only does she fall victim to Vicki Vale’s machinations, but she also has her face surgically altered so that she resembles Batwoman herself!

Release Date Speculations:

Thanks to a whole bunch of complications (including, but not limited to, the current global situation), Batwoman’s season one and two premieres landed at pretty wildly different times.

Season one premiered on October 6, 2019, but then fans had to wait over a year for the follow-up – which finally arrived on January 17, 2021.

We don’t expect such a big break next time, especially following the dip in ratings for the second season’s premiere. Expect The CW to be looking for consistency next time, with another January premiere – this time in 2022.

The Plot of Batwoman Season 3:

For Batwoman Season three, expect a much more dire version of Gotham.

Batwoman is going to be at the centre of some major turmoil and conflict – as she deals with an upsurge in organized crime while also trying to grapple with her past trauma (which includes not only witnessing her father’s murder but being kidnapped by him too).

Her family history has always been integral to the character – so it will be interesting to see what new revelations emerge this time around.

As for exactly who else we can expect on board… Well, there are plenty of Easter eggs that would suggest that Batman might make an appearance or two. But other than that, no one knows yet! It’s possible The CW could take a different approach to Batwoman and keep her series separate from the Arrowverse as they did with Black Lightning.

But then again, that might also mean that it would be harder for Batwomen’s second season to connect in terms of overarching storylines – which is what makes The CW showrunners so keen on doing crossovers!

Hopefully, we’ll find out soon enough! (Author didn’t mention) - Plot: As mentioned earlier, Batwoman Season three will be focused around a much more dire version of Gotham as she deals with an upsurge in organized crime while also trying to grapple with her past trauma (which includes not only witnessing her father’s murder but being kidnapped by him too). Batwoman may find herself fighting alongside the likes of Supergirl, Arrow, and The Flash in no time.

Takeaways:

Batwomen season three will feature a new cast, plot-lines that could include Batman characters, but it has not been confirmed yet whether or not they will be part of an overarching series. This is Batwoman’s first season on The CW network after being cancelled by Fox due to low ratings. It remains unclear if this show will tie into any other shows at the moment as there are many changes from its previous seasons before cancellation (the notable change was switching networks).

Batwomen lived up to expectations in terms of ratings, but Fox cancelled the show due to low viewership, which is unsurprising considering most viewers don’t have access to a cable package that includes The CW’s channel. This move seems like an odd one because Batwomen had already proven itself time and time again with both critics and audiences despite not having much promotion or financial backing from her production company.
