In season three, Kreizler and Moore continue to work on the case of a serial killer who had been murdering children in New York City. They investigate more deeply into the disappearances of women from Manhattan’s brothels as well as other crimes around the city. Together they form their investigative team: Sara Howard, Stevie Taggert, and Dr. Laszlo Kreizler with the help of their handyman John Schuyler Moore.

Plot

Season three of The Alienist picks up right where the second season ended. The team is now investigating a series of socialites who are being in gruesome ways, and Kreizler’s children come to live with him while he continues his work as an alienist.

Detective Stanislaus Zginski (Neal Huff) is now a full-time member of the team, and he develops an interest in Kreizler’s work with children.

The plot takes on new issues such as child labor abuse within factories, worker militancy, and factory ownership/management. The series also deals with societal questions like women in society and their involvement in political life outside the home spheres.
