What We Do In The Shadows Returning for Season 3 – Everything we know so far!
What We Do In The Shadows is back for season 3, and we couldn’t be more excited! Season 2 was an emotional rollercoaster, so we’re curious to see how the gang will fare in season 3. What are you waiting for? Read our article on everything we know about this third instalment of the series so far!
“What We Do In The Shadows” season 3 release date:
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like What We Do In The Shadows season three will be arriving on our screens anytime soon.
While filming was originally due to begin in February 2021, due to ongoing COVID-19 delays, it has since been postponed to later in the year, according to SyFy.
It’s not all bad news, though – showrunner Paul Simms told Deadline in February that the cast and crew have done table reads for “nine of the ten scripts now,” so hopefully, filming won’t be delayed for too much longer.
Therefore, What We Do In The Shadows is more likely to return at some point in 2022, spring at the earliest.
“What We Do In The Shadows” Season Three Plot:
Unfortunately, we may not know much about What We Have in the Shadows season three until it’s released. With filming set to begin later this year and scripts just now being written, there is still a lot that could change for the plot! One thing that will be certain is Matt Berry’s return as Vladislav on-screen and Rhys Darby playing his father, Anton.
Anton currently holds all of the vampire leadership power while Vladislav sleeps in a coffin from which he can only awaken once every hundred years – but what happened before? And how did they get into this situation? This is one question we might have answers to when What We Do in the Shadows season three premieres!

The Cast of “What We Do In The Shadows”:
Jemc, who we find out, has been married to the werewolf, Colin (played by Duncan Sarkies). Colin left her for a human, and she’s been struggling ever since. Muss is an interesting character because even though she’s not technically part of Anton’s family, he still asks her what she wants from him as if it was important.
During What We Do in the Shadows season three, we will see that Vladislav sends his assistant Nadja (played by Natalia Tena) on a long-term mission which makes things difficult when they need help with their vampire issues once more!
We also get to meet new characters such as Morty (played by Matt Berry) – which happens early on during the first episode of What We Do in the Shadows season three!
Synopsis:
The events that unfold for Vladislav and his coven during What We Do In The Shadows Season Three are not as clear-cut or straightforward, but there’s a lot to look forward to. We get our introduction early on with Morty (played by Matt Berry), who we find out is an elderly pensioner living alone in isolation.
Morty had heard strange sounds from upstairs, so he investigates only to come face-to-face with a vampire, Colin (played by Duncan Sarkies)!
Colin was looking for some human blood which causes Morty to panic because he believes vampires will kill him once they finish drinking their victim dry.
Morty goes to the window and screams for help which causes Vladislav (played by Jermaine Clement) to hear him.
Vladislav rushes into Morty’s house only to witness Colin drink from his neck before throwing up blood all over the floor in disgust. He then runs past a shocked Vladislav with his tail between his legs!
The scene quickly cuts back outside, where we see another vampire, Denny (played by Steve Lund), drinking from what looks like a chicken. Denny vomits up some of it but continues eating as if nothing happened at all.
