What is Halston about?

“Halston” is an American drama television series; that tells the story of Roy Halston Frowick, a business icon; who rose to fame in the 1970s. His career ended abruptly; when he was diagnosed; with AIDS. And died just a few decades later.

The show follows his life after being commissioned; by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis; to design her inaugural gown; for President John F Kennedy’s swearing-in ceremony; on January 20th, 1961, until 1991 where Halston; has passed away; from complications related to HIV/AIDS.

This fashion icon; had more than 70 runway shows under his creative direction and launched four successful collections, spanning nearly three decades, all while maintaining one of New York City’s most exclusive gay social lives at Studio 54!

The cast includes Roy Halston Frowick as Himself (1943-1991), Lynn Redgrave as Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Dominic West as Truman Capote, Caroline Goodall as Lee Radziwill, and more to come!
