What is the plot of the story ?

Tommy Egan (a.k.a. The Presenter), a former journalist, has come to Chicago with one goal in mind – to be the biggest drug dealer in the city of Chicago, using his outsider status and wealth to take on all the rules and law enforcement and rewrite them on his mission to become the biggest drug dealer in the city, bypassing all the other drug bosses who have been trying to stop him since he moved here. However, Tommy is soon faced with a new drug war being led by a powerful rival who will not hesitate to use whatever means necessary–including murder–to stop Tommy’s endeavors.

Who is in the cast ? What role did each character portray ?

The cast include Joseph Sikora , Lili Simmons , Ed Asner and Corey Reynolds , Caity Lotz , Jim Beaver and William H Macy . Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora) is a legendary outsider who has left New York in order to come to Chicago, a city with its own unique rules, which he plans to break. In order to make his dreams come true . Tommy must first acquire enough stock for his organization and this involves not only doing business with those who want in on the action but also having people like the very corrupt police force under their control. Although he has already done this, he is losing support from those who would normally follow such an ‘outcast.

What are the difficulties they face ?

Tommy’s main difficulty is being able to have his rivals not only taken out but also stay alive himself and his main protection against this problem is having policemen on his side. However, he soon finds out that having corrupt policemen works both ways–as they will be the first ones to shoot him instead of keeping him safe. Power is a theme that runs throughout the story as Tommy tries to take over Chicago and become the biggest drug lord in the city. However, although Tommy has all the wealth that money can buy and has even managed to get corrupt policemen on his side, he soon realizes that having power is not necessarily something he can take for granted–as there will always be individuals who would want to take it away.

Who is the antagonist ? What are its motives ?

Tommy’s main and most powerful rival is called Malik Washington (Ed Asner) and his own motives are the same as Tommy, who wants to become the biggest drug dealer in the city. Although he has seen Tommy’s plans, he believes that if he kills him first . It will make his task of taking over Chicago much easier. However, Tommy sees Malik as someone who has also tried to shoot him–as it was only because of this that he was able to survive. However, one thing distinguishes them from each other .  While Tommy wants all the power in the world and is willing to do anything to get it, Malik only wishes for absolute power.

Yes, as watching this is worthwhile as it includes a lot of action, violence and even a murder or two. Plus, there is a lot of excitement involved and it would be interesting to see who will come out on top.
