The Joker is often seen as a villain but he is not without some level of humanity or sympathy. The crimes that Joker commits are never random; they all have some type of rhyme or reason behind them and he always has his own agenda in mind for each act that he does.

What is the plot of the story ?

The story begins in Gotham City on New Year’s Eve when the Joker burns a clown with acid and calmly explains how he finds it more interesting to burn the face of a joker. The images that we see of the Joker show him as a small, disfigured and pale man who can barely walk with stitches across his body. We also see that he has no hair because his real hair is so dyed and bleached that it looks as if he was dipped in white paint.

Who is in the cast ? What role did each character portray ?

The cast include Joaquin Pheonix , Robert De Niro , Jack Nicholson , Michael Keaton. The role played by Joaquin Phoenix is the most obvious of all as man known as the “Joker” that commits crimes and performances for a laugh. He is described by some as being an actor and clown, others as a psychopath and madman. No matter what people say, he manages to make each of his performances his own alone. His performance in the movie is flawless with every minute detail specifically thought out before being acted out to perfection.

What are the difficulties they face ?

The film is a comedy and a drama, on top of that it is also a thriller. This can be seen in that the story consists both of dark scenes and humorous ones. There are serious issues in the plot such as child abuse, child molestation, betrayal and murder but there are also moments that make it enjoyable to watch. The Joker does not kill anyone in the movie but this does not mean that he doesn’t want to. He sneaks into peoples homes and forces them to do things with him using acts of seduction and violence.

What are the themes ?

The themes for this movie are ones that it shares with many of the other movies that have been written about or referenced by the Joker, some of these being insanity, clowns and madness. As previously mentioned the movie is a comedy, a drama and a thriller. The most loved character in this movie is Batman. This is because he is the main character that attempts to defeat the Joker and save the city from his evil schemes. Batman is also seen as a fighter for justice and the protector of Gotham City.

Who is the antagonist ? What are its motives ?

The antagonist of the movie is a man named “The Joker” . Within the movie, it can be seen that he plays the role of a villain, a sociopath and a madman all at once. He does things for his own pleasure that are cruel, sadistic and inhumane. His motives are to show off his work and to have fun with it. This movie has many scenes, including one in which Batman attempts to interrogate the Joker by making him wait in a room, naked. There is also a scene in which clowns are chasing police around on motorcycles and one that includes a car chase through the streets of Gotham City.

I would recommend watching this to anyone who is interested in the Joker, crime and/or crime movies. The film does have some serious issues that can be seen from the beginning of the movie to the end (i.e., murders, child molestation, child abuse etc.) Thanks for reading !
