The Terminator is a story about a cyborg assassin sent back in time as security for a waitress Sarah Connor and her son John Connor. The movie starts with the Terminator, killing Sarah, who just happens to be the mother of John. She has to go back and make sure that she tells her son about the Terminator.

The story of Terminator begins in the present days with 2 terminators arriving from the future. One terminator is a machine that is designed to kill and terminate human (a cyborg). The other is a human-looking cyborg that has been sent back in time for security purpose. The terminator is composed of flesh and metal, making it more powerful than an ordinary human being.

The cast include Arnold Schwarzeneg , Linda Hamilton , Michael Biehn . Arnold Schwarzeneg portrayed the role of the terminator. He is a human-looking cyborg who has been sent back in time for security purpose. Linda Hamilton portrayed the role of Sarah Connor, who is the mother of John Connor, a leader from future. Michael Bien portrayed John Connor, who is the son of Sarah.

What are the difficulties they face ?

As the terminator, who looks like human is sent back in time to spy on John Connor, it met Sarah Connor who knows the truth that they must not be together and she even takes measures to keep them apart. The terminator was sent by Cyberdyne Systems Corporation where it belonged to a top scientist named Miles Dyson (Joe Morton). The scientists at the corporation were not aware that Miles had developed a computer program named “Skynet” which will exist in future and will become self-aware. The themes in this movie are survival and love. There are many incidents where the terminator had to save them from being killed. The terminator falls in love with Sarah, who he has been sent back to kill.

What is the climax?

The climax of the story comes when a time-traveling Terminator T-800 is sent back to 1984 by Skynet in order to murder a young John Connor (Edward Furlong) whose future military activities would threaten Skynet’s existence. However, the human Resistance leader manages to send a warning through time with help from his mother (Hamilton), who sends him back as his father’s sperm so he can be conceived after Judgement Day, further delaying it.

Who is the antagonist ? What are its motives ?

The antagonist, whom the terminator has been sent back in time to kill is John Connor. As John Connor is the one who will lead the human resistance movement against Skynet and create havoc in future (Skynet will automatically self-destruct if there is no activity)! In addition, he who created a program named Skynet which nobody understands what it does. Thus, the role of antagonist is played by “Skynet.”

What are the epic scenes ?

There is a scene where John Connor and the Terminator (Schwarzenegger) are fighting against police. There is also a scene where the terminator feels pain when he is hit by bullets and another scene where Sarah Connor fells in love with the terminator.

Who is the most loved character ?

There are two characters who are loved by the audiences. One is Sarah Connor and another is the terminator. How people love Sarah Connor? The audience love her because she represents resistance movement against Skynet. She is brave and strong to face the terminator in order to save her son (John Connor) from being killed. How people love the Terminator? The audience love him mainly because he had been sent back in time in order to kill John Connor, but ended up falling in love with his mother Sarah instead.
