Kevin Smith Talks About And Teases Updates For “Clerks 3” Movie!

This past week Kevin Smith spoke about his upcoming “Clerks 3” movie on the Today Show. He spoke about how the film would be set in the present-day with a focus on Dante’s daughter, now all grown up and working at what used to be Jay & Silent Bob’s Secret Stash. Kevin also teased that there may be some new faces coming to this sequel, including one of his favorite comedians! Kevin says filming will begin next month for an early 2022 release date.

The release date for Kevin Smith’s upcoming movie “Clerks III” has been announced as early 2022. Kevin said he is going to start filming next month and the film will be released in theaters by early 2022!

Plot The plot or storyline of “Clerks III” revolves around Dante Hicks; who works at a fast-food restaurant called Mooby’s; (a reference to Kevin Smith’s own production company).

The plot will be set in Kevin Smith’s View Askewniverse. And is said to feature several characters; from some other Kevin Smith movies. The film will focus on Dante and Randal; who is thirty years old now and still working at the Quick Stop.  Dante has since married his girlfriend Emma (from Clerks II), but it doesn’t look like they’ll have any children anytime soon; because she’s infertile.

Kevin says that this third installment; will deal with how much things change once you become an adult, especially when your friends haven’t changed much since high school or even junior high for that matter. He also said he wanted to do something where the two clerks were forced to grow up and Kevin thought infertility might be a good thing to address.
