The series will follow the crimes The Golden State Killer committed over a decade. The story is told through an anthology format, with each season focusing on different stories and characters.

Filming for “The Chestnut Man” Season one began in early 2020 – being shot across California. The shooting locations included Sacramento, San Francisco & Los Angeles. The show was also filmed around Santa Clara County where many of his attacks took place to help preserve authenticity as much as possible! This includes using actual crime scenes that are now abandoned or closed down businesses he targeted during his reign!!
