About the Series “True Lies”

The series is a reboot of an old TV show with no confirmed plot yet. However, we can confirm that it will be about spies!

The original “True Lies” ran on ABC in 1994 and was canceled after only 12 episodes. The premise involved Harry Tasker (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger), who leads two different lives – one as an ordinary suburban husband and father, the other as a top-secret government agent. It sounds like this new series may follow similar storylines but perhaps include more family-based drama!

The series is set to air on Fox, most likely in 2022. The show will be produced by 20th Century Fox Television and James Cameron’s production company Lightstorm Entertainment which made the original film trilogy!

We know that the TV show will be based on the original film and we also know it has been in development for a while now.

• Harry Tasker, who is married to his high school sweetheart, Helen (Jamie Lee Curtis), must juggle life as an average family man with being one of the best undercover agents in the world.
• The character of Dana, which was played by actress Krista Allen; in the movie, seems like she may have either grown up; or her story will continue, after where it left off at age 17!

“True Lies” won’t just be a reboot; it will also be a sequel to the original movie.

We know that Tom Arnold is set to return in some capacity for this series. Whether he’ll have much screen time or just cameo appearances remains unknown! At least we know that Arnold was happy about his comeback role after getting sober back in 2000 when James Cameron asked him, “Do you want to come to do True Lies” and got an enthusiastic response of “Fuck yes!”.

There are so many questions still unanswered regarding Steve Howey’s involvement with the show, but here are what seem like three key points: The actor has indicated that production on the new series should begin around late Summer 2019 (which would make sense).
