Owen Wilson, actor, and comedian, has been revealed as the newest cast member of Marvel’s “Doctor Strange 2.” Owen Wilson is best known for his comedic roles in films such as Meet The Parents and Wedding Crashers. Owen will be playing a character who is an old friend of Benedict Cumberbatch’s Stephen Strange. He speaks about his experience filming the movie and how it felt to work on such an amazing project!

“I had always heard from other actors that they were doing it [filming for Doctor Strange]. It was really fun,” he said in the interview with Collider. “It all seemed very manageable; everybody was incredibly nice—all those guys are great too. The director Scott Derrickson, I’ve known him since we made ‘The Minus Man’ together, so I’ve always loved him.”

“It was great to get back with Benedict [Cumberbatch] and Rachel [McAdams],” Owen added. “They’re such fun, and they’re very good together in this movie. And the character that I play is kind of a former colleague of his at Kamar-Taj who he comes up against.”

He shared how excited he felt when people would ask him about it every day on set: “I feel like at some point I’m going to start mentioning something by mistake! But no, you know… It’s not really my place,” Owen said when asked if he could share any details or teasers for Doctor Strange.

About the Movie “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”

Wilson also revealed that he would play a superhero character who can talk with animals but still keeps it as an overall secret. The actor said that he really liked the storyline behind this movie and had fun working for its production. He was very surprised when they asked him if he wanted to star in another sequel after joining the Doctor Strange franchise just before it premiered because, at first, he did not believe them until everything fell into place.

The movie will be released on March 25th, 2022, and stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Stephen Vincent Strange. Mads Mikkelsen is also confirmed to join the cast along with Rachel McAdams, who would play Night Nurse in this sequel. The director of “Doctor Strange” Sam Raimi, will return for its second installment while C. Robert Cargill returns to write the screenplay together with Jon Spaihts.

They all have previously worked on the first film, which was a huge hit last 2016! Owen Wilson recently shared his experience working on a set that he had fun doing but still keeps some things under wraps until Marvel Studios gives him permission to reveal more details regarding his character’s portrayal in Doctor Strange II.

It seems like Marvel Studios has finally confirmed that “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” will be their next sequel after the release of “Avengers: Endgame”!

Benedict Cumberbatch’s Stephen Strange is expected to appear alongside Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Scarlet Witch in MCU. They might also introduce Tom Holland’s Spiderman! Basically, it is a multiverse mess up by Doctor Strange, Scarlet witch, Spiderman, and our beloved Loki!
