Spencer is set to play Summer Smith; on the show and she took part in an interview with Entertainment Tonight; where she revealed that there were going to be a lot of family dynamics; in Season 6. Spencer says that “We’re not as much dealing with Jerry this year because he’s off doing his own thing.” She also teased plot points; for episode 1 saying, “There’s something special about it.”

She also talked about her time working on hit television shows such as “Frasier” with fellow cast member Kelsey Grammer, who happens to be her father. Spencer is currently portraying an alien character named Morka in the sci-fi fantasy series “The Orville”.
