Apple has announced that Sebastian Stan, who earlier starred in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, has joined the cast of Sharper, the highly anticipated Apple Original feature film from A24. He will star alongside Academy Award-winner Julianne Moore.
Here’s Everything You Need To Know:
Moore’s character is a con artist who preys on wealthy New Yorkers in order to get away with the crimes they commit. Stan’s notable role is Max, a wizened scammer known for carrying out intricate plans and earning large sums of money. Emmy Award-nominated director Benjamin Caron will serve as a director.
Stan has been the actor to portray Bucky Barnes in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, and media reports claim that he was most recently seen on Disney+’s “The Falcon and Winter Soldier” series. Stan will also soon star as Tommy Lee in Hulu’s upcoming Pam & Tommy miniseries. Moore previously worked with Apple TV+ on Stephen King’s adaptation of his own novel, Lisey’s Story.
In addition to Sharper, Apple has partnered with A24 in the past on films such as On The Rocks from Academy Award-winner Sofia Coppola and Boys State, which won an SXSW Louis Black Lone Star Award.
In addition to Sharper, Apple partnered on projects such as The Tragedy of Macbeth, directed by Academy Award-winner Joel Coen and starring Academy Award winners Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand. They also worked on the YA adaptation The Sky is Everywhere, which starred Grace Kaufman, Cherry Jones, and Jason Segel. No release date has been announced for Sharp.
