The new show, called The Son, is an adaptation of a novel by Viet Thanh Nguyen and Robert Downey Jr will play Eli McCullough–a man who grows up to lead a Texas ranching dynasty spanning three generations during two world wars that ultimately becomes one of the largest empires for American cattle (according to Variety).

Robert Downey Jr’s previous roles have been as an antagonist so I think it’ll be interesting to see him take on this different role! It should give me time to catch up on some of Robert Downey Jr.’s other work.
