The sequel to the popular game Attack the Block is finally here! All of your favorite characters are back for an all-new adventure. This time, they’re fending off a horde of aliens who have taken over their block in London and it’s up to them to save the day. Attack The Block 2 does not currently have a release date. The earliest it could come out is 2022 or later, but production will be iffy for some time.

But without even finishing a script, the release dates could be as far out as 2023 or 2024.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, but it has been confirmed that Attack the Block 2 will continue the first film’s storyline and find John Boyega returning as hero Moses. The sequel was first reported by Deadline on May 17th with more details revealed soon after.

Attack the Block 2, Cornish’s first follow-up to the original, follows Moses and a group of friends as they defend their block from monstrous aliens. Jodie Whittaker co-stars as an unlikely ally.

Attack the Block is a coming-of-age story and alien invasion flick. It’s also an allegory about race and class in London, England.

Again, Attack the Block 2 doesn’t have an official synopsis, but any sequel to Boyega’s character Moses will probably pick up when he is an adult and resume his story with troubled young adulthood.

Cornish teased the sequel will again center on inner-city living and alien invasions. “I’m thrilled we’re officially announcing our return to the world of Attack the Block on the tenth anniversary of the film release,” he said. “I can’t wait to work alongside John again, bringing audiences an even more wholesome slice of inner-city alien action.”
