The Chosen Season 2 episode 7 is the penultimate episode and brings the much-awaited meeting between Jesus and Quintus. Atticus is the catalyst in bringing about this meeting as the Pharisees try to examine how much of a threat Jesus really is, if at all. Meanwhile, the disciples continue the preparations for the sermon after Jesus helps them set aside their skepticism.

Release Date

“The Chosen” Season 2 Episode 8, which is also the last episode and the season finale, currently does not have a release date. But, it is expected to arrive sometime in July this year. Season 2 comprises 8 episodes with a run time of 54-55 minutes each.

The Chosen Season 2 finale will be likely to focus on Jesus and the disciples completing the preparations for the sermon. Depending on how many people arrive at the sermon the Pharisees and Quintus might reconsider the threat Jesus possesses to Rome. The word of Jesus’ miracles has spread out across Jerusalem, and more people might arrive than expected. As a result, the disciples might have to work very hard. Jesus will most likely perform another miracle that will truly cement him as the messiah in the minds and hearts of those present at the sermon.

The Chosen Season 2 Episode 7

‘The Chosen’ season 2 episode 7 is titled ‘Reckoning’ and opens with Atticus visiting Quintus. He reveals that he has crucial intel about Jesus of Nazareth. Meanwhile, the disciples are sent fishing by Jesus. Jesus continues to plan his sermon. The disciples exhibit a lack of conviction towards Jesus’ as they are not fully aware of the details.  Jesus explains to them that everyone has a part to play in the sermon, and the execution matters more than the planning.

The Roman soldiers led by Atticus head to Jerusalem to apprehend Jesus. Simon and Andrew continue fishing and reminisce over their childhood. They also discuss what happened to Mary Magdalene, and Andrew is distressed over the arrest of John the Baptist.

Jesus willingly agrees to go with the Pharisees. The disciples discuss how to have Jesus released. Jesus finally meets Quintus in Atticus’ presence. Quintus admits that he doesn’t know what to make of Jesus but wants him to stop his preachings and miracles.
