Succession is an American satirical comedy-drama television series created by Jesse Armstrong. It premiered on June 3, 2018, on HBO and has been renewed for a third season. The series centers on the Roy family, the dysfunctional owners of Waystar Royko, a global media and hospitality empire, who are fighting for control of the company amid uncertainty about the health of the family’s patriarch, Logan Roy (Brian Cox).

Initially, it was scheduled to premiere early this year of 2021. But due to the global pandemic of Covid-19, it’s again being rescheduled either in late 2021 or in early 2022. Although, Brian Cox has confirmed the production of the show.

Succession Season 3 Plot Synopsis:

The premise of season 2 of succession is that the family is waiting for the patriarch, Logan Roy, to die. But when he recovers from a heart attack, they have to change their plans. They try but fail at killing him off with meds and poison before resorting to hiring an assassin in season three.

Logan’s son Kendall is going through some tough times because his father started dating again after his divorce last year. He needs therapy sessions so as not to be angry all the time over this situation that he’s been put into by fate.

The final episode concluded that the third season would focus on the power struggle between siblings. And to put it bluntly, they’re fighting over who gets control of Waystar Royko and its subsidiaries after their father Logan’s death.

Succession Season 3 Cast Details:

Brian Cox has confirmed that he will return for his role as Logan Roy in Succession Season three, which is slated to air during 2021 or 2022. Other than him, other actors like Jeremy Strong (as Kendall Roy), Sarah Snook (Kendall’s wife Francesca “Frankie” Topolsky), Nicholas Braun (Connor Roy) are also set to reprise their roles with others joining them next year too. Lathan will play Lisa Arthur, a high profile well-connected New York lawyer.
