The Mandalorian Season 3

The Mandalorian Season 3 is finally here! The new season of the hit TV show will air on Disney+, a streaming service. The cast and plot details for the upcoming episode have been revealed, so let’s take a look at everything you need to know about The Mandalorian Season 3: Plot, Cast Details, Storyline, and Premiere Date!

The Mandalorian Season 3 Release Date:

The Mandalorian season 3 is confirmed and filming this year – but you might have to wait a little longer than you originally hoped. While seasons 1 and 2 debuted in November 2019 and October 2020, respectively, Mando’s third outing isn’t due until 2022. And that’s all we know because a specific Mandalorian season 3 release date is yet to be confirmed. At least we can look forward to The Book of Boba Fett’s arrival in late 2021 to fill that Star Wars-shaped hole on Disney Plus.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Star Cast Updates:

So far, there has been no official word about the Mandalorian Season three cast. But, we can take a few guesses based on who’s returning for season two of The Mandalorian and what they’ve said in interviews so far: Pedro Pascal (The Red Priest), Gina Carano (Cara Zeta) are both confirmed to return as their characters from season one. And actor Giancarlo Esposito (Fenn Rau) is also expected to be back for more sci-fi action starring Pascal’s character.

And while it might seem like new additions would need to audition because they weren’t in season one, that isn’t entirely true – if you have some experience playing other Star Wars iconic characters, you could just join The Mandalorian as a guest star.

The Mandalorian Season three plot updates:

In the first two seasons, The Mandalorian was a lone bounty hunter when he’s not wearing his iconic helmet. But season three will change that as we meet the man behind The Mandalorian mask. And this might be good news; for those of us; who were looking forward; to more Tarre Vizsla action; in season three; because it sounds like The Red Priest; aka Pedro Pascal’s character; is coming along; with him for some interstellar adventures! That said, there are still no confirmed details; about what kind of story arcs; fans can expect; from these new episodes; aside from what has been revealed; by showrunner; Jon Favreau and actor Giancarlo Esposito; during an interview.

“It’s hard to say much without giving away too many spoilers, but The Mandalorian will open with the titular character in a position of power and at the height of his abilities. He’s been off-world for a long time, though it is not clear how or why he came back.”

But before you get your hopes up about seeing more Jedi for this season (or maybe Maul?), director Jon Favreau has confirmed that The Mandalorian won’t be an Obi-Wan Kenobi style mentor-type role. “He’ll have some people around him who are helpers,” says Favreau. And they seem to offer assistance when needed on missions – such as medic droids from MediaCorp Industries, which come standard on The Mandalorian’s ship called The Razorcrest.

Official Trailer for the season:

After watching the trailer, it looks like The Mandalorian will be a bit of a lone wolf in this season, and there are some hints that he might have to work with other characters for missions (which is reminiscent of Boba Fett). However, we’ll just have to see what happens when the show airs on November 12th!

It was also confirmed by Jon Favreau during an interview at Comic-Con 2019 that “The Mandalorians” refers not only to the people who populate their world but also specifically those from Mand’alor – which means “Mandate Speaker.” For more information about mando words you can go here: What Do We Know About The Language of The Mandalorians?
