Harley Quinn Season 3: Who’s Returning, What Happened to the Cast and Ratings?

Are you a fan of the Harley Quinn TV show? If so, we have some good news for you. Season 3 is right around the corner and will be available on DC Universe this fall. We can’t wait to find out who’s returning, what happened to the cast members that left, and how ratings are looking!

What actors are returning in Season Three?

We know that Minka Kelly, who played the show’s first character Pamela Isley/Poison Ivy, regularly during season two, will be back. Other cast members include Jennifer Tilly as Crazy Jane and Uma Thurman as Dr. Quinzel/Harleen Quinnzel from Batman: The Animated Series. Yet to officially confirm their return for next season is Drew Powell (Butch Gilzean), Nicholas D’Agosto (Harley’s ex-boyfriend, Mason), and Hart Denton (Nolan).

What happened to the cast members that left?

When season two of Harley Quinn finished airing last year in December 2018, we found out from Variety that several actors had departed. These included Uma Thurman as Dr. Quinzel/Harleen Quinzel, Minka Kelly as Pamela Isley/Poison Ivy, Tony Hale as Dumpty Humpty Peebles’lobster), Sami Gayle as Sophie Moore, and Conor Leslie as Colleen Cooper. Of these six main characters, only Butch Gilzean will be returning for Season Three. The rest are simply no longer part of the show because they’ve either taken(James Gordon Jr.), Morena Baccarin (Leslie Thompkins), and Crystal Reed (Anna).

About the rumors:

It has been rumored that Gotham City Sirens could also make an appearance in Harley Quinn Season three! This would allow more of Poison Ivy’s story to be explored and for the Sirens- Harley Quinn, Catwoman, and Poison Ivy -to team up!

What will be in the new season?

The show is about to release its third season with a new batch of episodes set in the post-Arkham Asylum world. The rest are simply no longer part of the show because they’ve either taken(James Gordon Jr.), Morena Baccarin (Leslie Thompkins), and Crystal Reed (Anna). It has been rumored that Gotham City Sirens could also make an appearance in Harley Quinn Season three! This would allow more of Poison Ivy’s story to be explored and for the Sirens- Harley Quinn, Catwoman, and Poison Ivy -to team up!

Scott Anthony LaFay, Stephen Root, and Tony Amendola reprising their roles from the Titans show! What Happened to the Cast? The departure of Morena Baccarin was one of the most shocking moments for fans after she announced her exit via Instagram on July 23rd, 2018. In an interview with TVLine, series creator Beeban Kidron said that “We never really thought about how it would work without Leslie because we’d always had this idea that they were in this together. It was something we talked about a lot with Morena and, to be honest, when she left; it felt like the show had gone on for too long.”

Netflix: Season Three released on January 18, 2019.

Viewers can also stream the episode online as early as December 25th, 2018, in some regions for Netflix subscribers. For people without a subscription to Netflix, there is an option of purchasing each episode separately or all six episodes at once via iTunes and Amazon Video with prices starting from USD14.99 per season (USD89) and GBP12.99 per season (GBP79). Viewers with subscriptions to other networks such as Hulu Plus, Stan, Showmax, etcetera. Could purchase the seasons through their respective platforms too!

Ratings:

The ratings are looking pretty good so far. The premiere of season three is sitting at a 0.25 in adults 18-49 on Monday night which puts it just above Agents of SHIELD (0.24) but below Supergirl (0.38), Titans (0.34), or Charmed (none).
