Sony Pictures has released two trailers that offer glimpses into what fans can expect from the final product on May 22nd, 2020, with already having garnered over 20 million views combined in a little under three weeks. The first trailer was released November 11th, 2018, followed by another four months later, on March 15th, 2019 presenting more footage that showed off Nathan Drake’s life before he became a famous adventurer where it also displayed his globe-trotting escapades.

At the end of March, Sony Pictures revealed their plans for a global campaign with promotions for the movie taking place in 72 countries around the world to coincide with its theatrical release and one month ago; they shared an exclusive clip from “Uncharted” which showcased some of Nate’s most iconic moments including his meeting Sully as well as Raoul celebrating at Naughty Dog Bar & Grill. It is worth noting this will be Holland’s debut role in a major motion picture.
The movie is scheduled to release on May 21, 2019, and will have an R rating, so it isn’t too surprising that it has been rated as the most anticipated film by people aged 18-34 in recent years.
The cast of Uncharted:
Mark Wahlberg and Tom Holland , Nathan Drake and Sully, seemingly lurking in a dimly lit church. No additional images of the rest of the cast have been revealed yet. However, we know the adventurous treasure hunter Chloe Frazer will be played by Sophia Ali, also known as Dr. Qadri, in Grey’s Anatomy. Antonio Banderas is also cast, but his character has yet to be named.
the differences between the movie and video game
The mustache has caused grief from the video game’s cult following in the Uncharted video game series; Sully sports an iconic mustache that works as part of his beloved character. We don’t even want to show some of the scathing tweets which were a response to the film’s first image release.
Besides the mustache, many fans are also apprehensive of the casting of Tom Holland. No disrespect to Tom Holland, but the difference between him and Nathan Drake is pretty obvious. Plenty is uncertain if someone who can perfectly play the nerdy yet loveable Spiderman can also effectively become the dirt-covered and buff adventurer Nathan Drake. he is considerably younger than Nathan Drake can convincingly portray him.
The film is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and action, suggestive content, language, and some crude references. It has also been given a run time of 110 minutes which indicates that the movie will most likely be based on Uncharted: Golden Abyss rather than Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune or any other game in the series since they both have different lengths listed.
